Your guided tour begins with a pickup from your hotel, followed by a journey to the Seltun geothermal area. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the distinctive scent of sulfur that characterizes this unique environment. As you explore the area, follow a guided pathway that winds through bubbling mud springs and volcanic vents, allowing you to marvel at the vibrant colors and otherworldly landscapes that surround you.
FAGRADALSFJALL VOLCANO
Next, your adventure leads you to the renowned Fagradalsfjall volcano, just outside Grindavík. Prepare for a rewarding moderate hike of 60 minutes one way, totaling 120 minutes of exploration. This hike is the centerpiece of your tour, as you traverse the rugged terrain toward a stunning viewpoint. Along the way, you’ll be captivated by the volcanic landscape, leading to breathtaking views of the volcanic crater and the surrounding areas. Your knowledgeable guide will lead the way, ensuring your safety while providing insights into the geological processes that shaped this extraordinary region, enriching your hiking experience.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, you’ll have the chance to take in the spectacular sights and then explore the lower lava fields, where the ground remains extremely hot and steaming, heightening the adventure. Don’t forget to collect a unique souvenir from the volcanic fields, which hold a captivating secret that you won’t want to miss!
LOCAL RESTAURANT
After the hike we will stop for lunch in a local restaurant, where you will have a chance to choose between a variety of Icelandic local dishes ranging from soups, sandwiches and local fish meals. Lunch is also the only thing on the tour that is not included.
BLUE LAGOON
The Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most famous geothermal spas! Nestled in a stunning lava fields, this magnificent lagoon is renowned for its milky blue waters rich in minerals like silica and sulfur. Here, you can unwind in the soothing warmth of the water, which stays around 100°F (38°C) year-round.
As you soak, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding black lava landscape and enjoy the unique experience of being surrounded by Iceland’s natural beauty. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a silica mud mask for a rejuvenating skin boost!

Icelandic weather conditions can change in an instant, it is common to experience all 4 seasons in one day, it is highly recommend to bring adequate clothing to suit all conditions for the experience. They can of course just be left in the transportation if not needed.
